Somatic Counselor

Working with Hall
Healing is relational. Wounds are relational. That’s why the most important factor in our work together isn’t just my credentials or training—it’s how you feel in this space.
✔️ I hold space with warmth, humor, and deep presence.
✔️ I trust your body’s wisdom more than any external framework.
✔️ I am not here to fix you—you are not broken.
✔️ This is an experiment in meeting yourself in new ways.
Most of all, I invite you to bring your full self—messy, uncertain, unfinished, exactly as you are. That’s the starting point. That’s enough.
Your journey looks like this:
1️⃣ Connect: Schedule a free initial connection call to explore whether we’re a good fit.
2️⃣ Explore: As we continue working together, we uncover unconscious patterns shaping your life, through mindful exploration of your present experience. I help you expand the world of your possible choices beyond your currently limited menu.
3️⃣ Transform: We integrate these new choices into your daily life, opening the door to new, more ease-ful ways of being at home in yourself and the world.
I support clients using the tools that we together find are most effective in helping you. Most clients meet with me weekly for 60 or 90-minute online sessions. I also offer individual and group retreats and intensives, and custom extended sessions.

I practice somatic therapy—a mindfulness-based, body-centered approach that helps uncover and shift the unconscious patterns shaping your life. This work goes beyond talking about change; it invites you to directly experience transformation in the present moment.
My practice is deeply informed by my training in:
• Hakomi Somatic Therapy (2-Year Comprehensive Training)
• Breathwork & Embodied Transformation
• Restorative Justice & Mediation
• Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Integration
• Nature-Based Wholing Practices with Animas Valley Institute
• Buddhist & Contemplative Practice (Taiwan & Thailand Monasteries)

Can Somatic Therapy Really Work Online?
Yes. Again and again, I’ve witnessed profoundly deep transformation in virtual work.
For many people, working in person is ideal because the body feels safest in close proximity to another regulated nervous system. But virtual work is powerful too. It allows deep transformation without the barriers of travel, geography, or accessibility. And for some, it is the just-right dose of presence for what they’re exploring.
Thanks to years of experimentation and refinement (one silver lining of COVID), somatic therapy online is now a fully developed practice.
Here’s how we work with the body, even online:
-
Self-Touch & Environmental Anchors: I guide clients in using their own hands, pillows, blankets, or objects in their space to supply touch and contact where helpful for our mindful explorations.
-
Imaginal Touch: The nervous system responds to imagined sensation much like it does to physical sensation. This means that simply imagining touch can activate deepening pathways in the body.
-
Tuning Into Sensation, Not Just Story: Whether online or in-person, the real work of somatic therapy isn’t in physical touch—it’s in how we bring mindful awareness to what’s already present in you.
-
Somatic therapy, whether online or in person, never requires touch.
I’ve supported clients in seven countries, across multiple time zones—and what matters most isn’t the medium. It’s the quality of presence and the depth of your own willingness to meet yourself.
That’s why I always offer a free initial session—so you can feel for yourself what this work is like, rather than trying to evaluate it in theory.
